Red wine vinegar is a sour maroon coloured liquid comprising mainly of acetic acid. It is a staple in French, Italian and Spanish cuisine and has a variety of uses as a condiment, as a vinaigrette or as a salad dressing. Use on boiled vegetables, to make sauces and in the dressing of meat and fish.
